Today everyone talks about sex. It is almost impossible to leave the house without coming across something that refers to it. There is sex in everything; on buses, in video clips, on television, in music … Sex is used from the simplest commercials to sell any type of thing; objectifying man and woman.
Is it normal? Or do we even wonder …? Could it be that we have also hypersexualized our gaze?
Hypersexualization conditions the vision we have of our body image, conditions our identity and our way of relating to others. It has become a body business, as if it were a simple shell separate from our mind and soul.
A body is what must be used to seduce consumers and we see this through the images used in advertising. It will be the gaze of others who will value our privacy and who will put a price on it. And by putting that economic value, the new diseases of the 21st century begin.
